A holistic approach to care
Andrew's toolkit includes deep soft tissue techniques, trigger point therapy and fascia distortion releasing techniques, cupping, dry needling, and a variety of electrotherapy methods like shockwave therapy and TENS and ultrasound. He believes in embracing both traditional hands-on approaches and modern technology to achieve the best results — looking beyond the site of pain to how different parts of the body influence each other.
Background
Andrew obtained his qualifications from the University of Notre Dame. He began his career in Perth, working with WAFL and WAAFL teams, before spending over four and a half years in some of the UK's largest and most prestigious hospitals, including St Thomas' Hospital and Guy's Hospital, and in a busy private practice specialising in elite athletes, performers and entertainers.
As a Senior Physiotherapist at a prestigious private outpatient clinic in London, Andrew managed a dynamic caseload providing tailored rehabilitation services. He is particularly sought after for his expertise in treating complex hip and groin-related pain, and specialises in the management of tendinopathies and lower limb overuse injuries — from marathon training niggles to footballers returning after joint replacement or ligament repair surgery.
Running is a particular interest of Andrew's — he regularly runs running assessments to help patients train harder without breaking down, and especially enjoys treating Achilles injuries, one of the most common — and most misunderstood — running-related complaints he sees.
Outside the clinic
Andrew enjoys exploring Melbourne's food scene, hiking, playing basketball, and travelling — a well-rounded perspective that helps him connect with patients and understand their individual goals.
