Physio-chiro-work-together

We at Physiotherapist Melbourne and our sister company, Core Health Chiropractic , do all we can to help your well being, both physical and mental. We work hard to provide the right type of therapy (Physio or Chiro) to all our clients. Sometimes however, it takes more than just chiropractic help to heal an issue. Thats why our clinic here at Brunswick West combines chiropractic care, physiotherapy, Massage and Clinical Pilates to provide the best care for our patients.

You probably know the basic roles of chiropractors. They work mostly with your spine to help improve your overall wellbeing and nervous system. Most people see a chiropractor to help with lower back pain but they can also help in a variety of ways such as nerves, digestive problems, and headaches.

When your problem goes beyond the ability of a local chiropractor, it can be helpful to also work with a physiotherapist. Both professionals have the same basic goal – to return you back to total health.

What do Physio’s and Chiro’s do?

While chiropractors mainly focus on adjusting your spine and vertebrae for your benefit, physiotherapists work more with joints and muscles. They use movement, exercise programs, massages, stretching, and manipulation to help joints and muscles move better.

These seem like two completely different tasks, but that is the beauty of chiropractors and physiotherapists teaming up together. Many issues require both sets of expertise to remedy such as arthritis, back pain, and shoulder pain. Combining these types of healing helps us heal a greater variety of musculoskeletal injuries.

Patients can benefit from this combination in ways that may not occur to them when starting treatment. A patient may want to see a physiotherapist to fix joint or muscle problems in their knee or ankle. After this treatment, the same patient may need to see a chiropractor because the limping that was a result of the ankle injury caused an excessive amount of back pain.

Communication amongst your carers

Communication and partnership between chiropractor’s and physiotherapists have numerous amazing benefits that streamline treatment. You can access our incredible and unique treatment here at Brunswick Health and also at Sunshine Coast Chiropractor. The benefits are undeniable. We want to use our professionalism to better your life.
